There will be a massive argument over who found you first and who receives the commission, should an offer be made. The reputation of an executive recruitment agent is established by the placement of highly qualified people into a company. If the recruiter has done a good job with a company, they may be asked to look for more applicants for a different position. While some recruiters are very familiar with the business that they serve, many others are not. The quality of recruiters varies a lot. If you are working with a recruiter that knows the employer, but not your profession, you may actually need to fill them in a little so that a perfect match is possible. No matter which agency you choose, many opportunities will be available to you when you take advantage of the benefits of executive recruitment.
