Procrastination is a success killer. You procrastinate because you can't make a decision and because you can't make a decision you fail time and time again. You find it hard to make decisions because you have poor decision making habits. Stop waiting to make a decision and develop the habit of making decisions quickly. Stop focusing on information and start focusing on the facts. Focusing on the facts in combination with a plan for what you want and how you're going to get it will make the whole decision making process easier. Stick with your decision once you've made it. You should only change a decision if you have conclusive facts indicating you should do so. Even when you have the facts you want to change your mind slowly because you may be making a fear based decision rather than a fact based decision. Basing your decisions on fear causes you to change your mind often and results in poor decisions. You can make your own decisions and it's best if you make those decisions yourself. Don't use information to make your decisions use facts. Make sure you decisions match the objectives you've set for yourself. When you include others in your decision making process you're opening yourself up to misinformation, negativity, and jealousy. Currently you have the habit of avoiding decisions and you need to develop the habit of making decisions. Realize that most decisions can be undone no harm no foul and that not making decisions can actually lead to more harm than making a decision. Begin changing your decision making habits by acting quickly on low risk decisions. Don't allow yourself to change your mind. As you do this and your confidence builds you'll be ready to move up to bigger decisions. At times you will have to reach out to other people to get the facts you need. Get those facts without sharing why you want them. Until you've already made your decision and taken action you want to keep your thoughts and ideas to yourself. You can't gather the facts if you're doing all the talking. And you can't make good decisions without sound facts. Keep your eyes and ears open looking and listening for opportunities and facts. If you're doing all the talking aren't focused on finding these opportunities and facts. Never tell anyone about your plans. Others will know your plans when they see the results. If you want to avoid: ridicule for not following through on your plans, the likelihood that someone else will take your idea and directly compete with you, and having your thoughts and ideas cluttered with a bunch of ideas that detract from your focus; keep your plans to yourself until you've taken action.
